Eat ChikenDupont Delrin is the best plastic for turning on a lathe lathe. It’s very easy to turn, although it requires reduced speeds. I have used this stuff to make Scottish small pipes chanters. I have purchased numerous items from a plastic shop in Anaheim. The small parts always ship promptly and everything has been well packed. I’ve never had an issue with an order.
Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are exceptionally durable and easily machinable, as they have very comparable physical properties. They do look similar, but for practical use there are some differences that may make one better than the other. It also depends heavily on your application.
