Since the 1970s, the month of February has been focused on celebrating the Black community. Black History Month is celebrated across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany and Netherlands by highlighting the rich culture, history, talents and contributions that African Americans have made to society.
As a woman of color, I am proud to offer you eighteen ideas for celebrating Black history this year.
Here are 18 ways you can celebrate Black History Month:

Make a purchase at a Black-owned business or organization

Teach African American students about vocational careers

Highlight the past or present accomplishments of Black team members

Attend or host a Black culture event in your community
